pada Oktober tahun 2017, juri Grand diwilayah tugas Fayette Country memutuskan untuk menetapkan caj pada Relford tetapi dibebaskan dua orang lain.
Dalam sesi itu bapa 7 November 2017 dipengadilan percubaan daripada Salahuddin maafkan Relford dalam satu ungkapan yang amat mengharukan.
Tetapi Mahkamah tetap memberikan hukuman penjara 31 tahun Relford.
